Pre-Employment Meetings
Non-Certified Personnel Processing Meeting:
The processing meeting runs approximately 2 hours and is administered in a group like setting at the Columbia County School District Board Office. You will need to bring your original signed social security card and an unexpired driver’s license. At the meeting, your fingerprints will be taken and a background check will be conducted. You are responsible for submitting your previous years of experience on our official form. The form can be found under Human Resources, click on FORMS. Please print out one form per employer/ school district and/or private school to be filled out by your previous employer’s human resources department, and submit to the contact personnel below by fax, mail, or email.
I am interested in a Paraprofessional position. What are the Paraprofessional qualifications?
- Hold an associate’s degree or higher;
- Completed at least two years of college coursework defined as; 60 or more semester hours earned or 90 or more quarter hours earned (grade C or better);
- Hold a minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent and must pass the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment, with a passing score of 250 or higher.

What documentation needs to be submitted to Human Resources? All documentation needs to be submitted to Human Resources on or before your processing meeting date.
- Official, sealed high school transcripts
- Official, sealed college transcripts for each transcripts may be emailed from the school to [email protected]
Other documentation needed on or before you processing meeting date:
- School Nurse position: Nursing License
- If applicable, a copy of your DD214
